Terms & Conditions for Players

We would like to thank you for your interest in the our Annual Stop the Violence Basketball Tournament®. This event is typically held July every year, unless otherwise stated.

Please take time to read these tournament rules and regulations below with your teammates.

I/we agree to participate in the Annual Stop the Violence Basketball Tournament® . This is a double elimination basketball tournament & the rules are as follows;

Each team must have at least 6 players, (Men, 18yrs & up, in order to qualify to play in the tournament.) **Not to exceed 11 male players per team**.
Teams are allowed up to 2 coaches, to coach their games and that does not affect the maximum allowed to the team rule. However, if there are 11 players and a coach, the coach cannot act as an additional player, playing in the basketball game.
Regular registration per basketball team is $229 to participate. Deposits are accepted by due dates given.
EARLY BIRD DEAL ONLY: There is early bird special but only for a limited time of $175. The deposit is $100 due on a date that is specified. This deposit needs to be paid in order to lock in on the deal price and hold your team spot in the tournament. The remaining $75 is due also on a specific date (normally in June), dates are specified at the time. **Early bird registration price only until the date that is given at the time. FYI: The deposit and full amount is nonrefundable.
NORMAL REGISTRATION: nonrefundable $100 deposit due at sign up after the early bird offer has expired. This will secure your team spot in the tournament until the remainder of the team fee is due and paid off. (register here.)
Your team will have a final date to pay the remaining $129 balance due (normally in June). If the balance is not received than we reserve the right to occupy or give up your team spot to another team who wants to register. If you would like to pay the balance all at once, then there is an option to do so.
REGISTRATION W/ JERSEYS INCLUDED: We now offer jerseys included with your team registration. The fee for this is $400. There is no deposit available for this option, fee must be paid upfront in FULL at the time of registration. Once you purchase this package, a team member will contact you with further communication to get jersey information. Please make sure you submit all info. we need to make your jerseys at least 1 month in advance. (register here.)
First come, first served team registration process.
**ATTENTION: (1.) If you did not register before or by the early bird date then you will register with the normal fee, & terms and conditions rules. (2.) If you do not make the 1st deposit under the early bird offer then you will lose the deal/offer and will need to register under our normal registration rules and fees. (3.) After the due date for the final payment, if you want to register your team, then the full normal amount is due upfront at the sign up, now. Because the deposit period will be over and full amounts are due.** The option to pay w/ a deposit will no longer be on our site on that date.

**FYI: Once all balances has been paid in full, the total amount is now also nonrefundable.**

All teammates on the same team must have the exact same team jersey tops (uniformed t-shirts are allowed as team jerseys). NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS RULE!
(1.) Only teammates listed on your roster; that you will turn in at least one day prior to the tournament date, are permitted to play in the tournament games. NO EXCEPTIONS! If changes need to be made to your roster, please call 757-349-6806 or email: stvbball@gmail.com to make the necessary changes. (2.) Players are not permitted to play for another team in this tournament once their game(s) is over and/or they lost. Players switching teams to play in another team game, can/will cause a forfeit of the game.
Only teammates and coaches listed on rosters are permitted free entry on tournament dates. All family members & friends shall pay the entry fee and they will need to enter in through the public door, NOT with the players in their check-in door. Players please advise your loved ones of this rule before the event starts.
We ask all players/team members to arrive one hour prior to their scheduled game times, so check-ins can go as smooth as possible.
Please understand that we will not tolerate any fighting, arguing, or any other inappropriate/violent behavior from the teams while on the premises during this event. Doing so will result in being kicked out of the tournament games and future exclusions from future Stop the Violence Basketball Tournament® events.
First place winners will receive a team championship trophy.

I have read and understood the above. I further understand that the use of the facilities must be in accordance with the rules and regulations of that facility. This contract will also be terminated, at the discretion of the Stop the Violence Basketball Tournament® director, should a player or coach display inappropriate behavior. We look forward to hosting your team this year.
